The U.S. Freshwater Prawn And Shrimp Association was formed on January 22, 2002. Growers from seven states were represented and personal from Kentucky State University, Mississippi State University, University of Arkansas, University of Alabama, University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee were present. The meeting began with the formation of the Association and a Grower’s Workshop was presented by Extension personnel.
